Our Company

Originally established in Chicago, JS Sherman and Associates was founded and formed by Jeffrey S. Sherman, CLU. We have proudly been a South Florida business since 1975, local to Boca Raton since 1979, and Central Florida since 2008. Our business has always serviced both corporate and individual needs.

Our Philosophy

Our business philosophy is simple. “We listen to our prospect or client. We understand what he or she is asking; and we make every effort to find a satisfactory solution. No double talk, no fancy confusing language.”

Each insurance product offered to individuals or companies is developed through a series of in-depth meetings. The nature of the insurance need determines how much and what kind of insurance is appropriate. Once the need is agreed upon, we select the best company or companies to fill that need.

During this procedure our clients will gain an overall understanding of how various insurance products will fit their needs. What's most important is that the solution is economically feasible, and that it satisfies their primary requirements.

We continue to meet with our clients on a regular basis. Changes in the economy and insurance environment are ongoing. Therefore, we regularly contact our clients to keep them abreast of changes, and how they can affect their plans or programs.

 

Meet Our Leadership Team

Jeff Sherman – Founder/President

Jeff Sherman has been doing business in Florida since 1973. His emphasis has always been to provide the best service and support to all clients, large or small… no preferential treatment. His experience and involvement in the financial services industry gives him the edge in establishing the right plan at reasonable costs for his clients. His emphasis is in the area of corporate benefit plans. These plans include: Group Health, Group Life, Long Term Disability, Long Term Care, and Retirement Plans.

Chris Steffen – VP Sales and Marketing

Chris Steffen has been with the company since 2008. His prior business experience includes serving as Senior IT Risk Consultant for a global consulting firm and Senior Trainer for the Florida Department of Health. He is based in Port Orange and specializes in the small employer group market. He also provides health insurance for individuals, families and self-employed professionals. Chris received his undergraduate business degree from The University of Central Florida and his MBA from Florida State University. When he’s not working, Chris enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter, surfing, exercising, traveling, attempting to play golf, fishing and reading.
